The Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT 2020 is a masterfully composed red wine from Tuscany that impresses with its depth, complexity and elegance. Made from a cuvée of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, this wine combines the best characteristics of internationally renowned grape varieties with the unique terroir of Tuscany. After the harvest, the wine is aged for 18 months in barriques, which gives it additional structure and flavours of vanilla, spices and wood. After barrique maturation, the wine is aged in the bottle for a further 12 months before being released for sale. This ensures complete harmonisation and a round, mature character.

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT has ageing potential until 2033 and thus offers a long ageing companion that gains in complexity over the years. With an alcohol content of 15% vol., it is an excellent wine for collectors and connoisseurs who want to enjoy a high-quality, long-lasting product.

Tasting Note

Deep, intense ruby red in the glass. The nose reveals an impressive aroma of dark fruits, such as blackberries and blackcurrants, which combine with flavours of tobacco, leather and spices. There are also subtle woody notes of vanilla and cedar wood from the ageing in barriques. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. The flavours of black berries and spices continue, while the wine develops a silky, long-lasting texture. The finish is elegant and long, with a hint of chocolate and a smooth, spicy finish.

Acidity: 5.6 g/litre

The Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno is an excellent accompaniment to strong meat dishes such as grilled beef, lamb or game. The wine also harmonises perfectly with intense cheeses such as matured pecorino or a strong blue cheese. This wine is perfect for festive occasions or as an accompaniment to an elegant dinner.
