The Bottega Petalo Moscato Il Vino dell’Amore 6.5% ABV, in a 0.75 l bottle with a gift box, is an exceptionally aromatic Moscato Spumante from Italy, which has been one of Bottega’s most popular sweet sparkling wines for years. Its name, ‘Il Vino dell’Amore’ – the wine of love – refers to its seductive character and the elegant rose blossom on the label, which also symbolises the characteristic aroma profile of this special sparkling wine.


This Moscato Spumante is made from carefully selected Moscato grapes from northern Italy. The vineyards benefit from calcareous and mineral-rich soils, as well as a temperate climate with marked temperature differences between day and night. These conditions promote the development of intense aromas, lively acidity and remarkable freshness. It is produced using the Martinotti method, whereby fermentation takes place in pressurised tanks at low temperatures to optimally preserve the natural fruit and floral aromas. By deliberately halting fermentation, a high natural residual sugar content is retained, whilst the alcohol content remains pleasantly moderate at just 6.5%. The result is an Italian dessert sparkling wine that harmoniously combines fruitiness, elegance and lightness, making it perfect for special moments of indulgence.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Bottega Petalo Moscato Il Vino dell’Amore presents itself as a pale straw-yellow colour with a fine and persistent effervescence. On the nose, an intense yet elegant bouquet unfolds, with floral notes of roses, wisteria and wildflowers. These are complemented by fruity nuances of yellow peach, apricot and citrus fruits, as well as subtle hints of sage. On the palate, this sparkling wine is velvety, aromatic and pleasantly sweet, with pronounced fruitiness and lively freshness. The finish is long-lasting, harmonious and aromatic.

The Bottega Petalo Moscato Il Vino dell’Amore is an excellent accompaniment to tarts, fruit cakes, panna cotta, tiramisu and fine pastries.
