Tanqueray London Dry Gin is the result of the dedication and innovation of Charles Tanqueray, who spent many years developing the perfect formula for him. His efforts paid off, as Tanqueray gin has been produced using a traditional process based on four distillation stages since 1830.

The process begins with the distillation of neutral alcohol from grain mash, which forms the basis for the subsequent flavouring. In a further step, carefully selected botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, cinnamon sticks and lemon and orange peel are added according to a secret recipe. Once these ingredients have released their flavours, they are distilled again to fully absorb the essence of the botanicals and round off the gin's flavour.

This elaborate process gives Tanqueray gin its unmistakable character, which has made it one of the best-known and most appreciated London dry gins in the world for almost two centuries.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Slightly pungent, juniper, hint of spruce needles.

Flavour: Citrus fruits, juniper, lime, hint of spices, liquorice.

Finish: Langs, juniper.

Best enjoyed with a tonic and a slice of lime.
