Flor de Caña has been family-owned since 1890 and is a sustainably produced rum.

In 1875, Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, a young adventurer from Genoa, Italy, left his family behind to travel to the exotic country of Nicaragua. The perfect location for the distillery was found at the foot of the San Cristóbal volcano, Nicaragua’s highest and most active volcano. The fertility of the surrounding land, the nutrient-rich water and the hot volcanic climate proved to be crucial to the rum’s unique and smooth flavour.

Flor de Caña stands for a greener future and Fairtrade-certified spirits.

This amber-coloured rum from Nicaragua is the distillery’s first vintage single cask release. It is matured in bourbon casks and then finished in cognac casks.

It is exceptionally smooth, with a very delicate and mild aroma.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber with mahogany hues.

Nose: Lively, smooth, with notes of chocolate, apricots, oranges and dried fruit.

Palate: Intense, spicy, with notes of fine woods, vanilla, liquorice and chestnuts.

Finish: Long-lasting.
