The Ole Smoky Distillery in the Smoky Mountains has a rich history stretching back over a century, beginning with the region’s first settlers. Despite this long-standing tradition, the production of moonshine was not always legal, until a change in the law in Tennessee made it possible to open the first state-licensed distillery in Gatlinburg.

Today, Ole Smoky produces not only the traditional moonshine, which has been cherished in the region for generations, but also a wide range of exquisite whiskies. These products bear witness to the craftsmanship and rich history that have made Ole Smoky a major name in the spirits industry.

“Herbal” is by no means an accurate description of this Ole Smoky moonshine. It opens with a strong, tart note that invigorates the senses, and finishes gently with a sweet, watermelon-like aftertaste.
