This special bottling is a tribute to Suntory's unique design approach that brings Japanese "Monozukuri" craftsmanship to life. Monozukuri, which means "the art of Macher", is reflected in both the quality and creativity that has characterised the development of Yamazaki whisky since its creation in 1923.

With 12 years of maturation and a careful combination of American oak casks, sherry casks and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, this single malt has achieved its unique complexity and elegance. It perfectly reflects the relentless pursuit of quality and the innovative spirit that has defined Suntory Whisky over the last 100 years.

The design of the bottle is another highlight of this limited edition. It depicts the Yamazaki distillery in deep copper tones, which shape the angle of the bottle so that it faces upwards. This depiction symbolises the pursuit of higher things, while at the same time respectfully looking back to the origins of the Yamazaki distillery in the valley of Yamazaki, Japan. The deep symbolism of the design reminds us to "always keep our feet on the ground" and never lose sight of the craft.

Tasting Note

Nose: Fruity with citrus notes, dried fruit and a subtle woody note, complemented by a hint of vanilla and a subtle spicy note.

Flavour: Full-bodied and harmonious, with ripe fruit, a fine oak spice that combines with honey and delicate spices, and a hint of smoke.

Finish: Langs and round, with a warm oak spice and a fruity sweetness that lingers gently.
