Equiano Light Rum is the light, fresh version of the multi-award-winning Equiano rum, the world's first rum to symbolise a transatlantic connection between Africa and the Caribbean. This "light" bottling represents a modern rum style with a clear, elegant structure and high quality standards. The rum is made from a finely balanced combination of unrefined rum made from fresh sugar cane juice from Africa and a lightly matured molasses rum from the Caribbean, more precisely from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados and Gray's Distillery in Mauritius.

In contrast to the darker original version, Equiano Light aims for a lighter flavour profile - ideal for classic long drinks and modern rum cocktails. It is matured in former American bourbon barrels, but only for a limited time, so that the freshness of the ingredients remains in the foreground. With an alcohol content of 43% vol. and an elegant 0.7-litre bottle, this rum is a statement for modern rum culture without additives, colourings or sugar, both visually and in terms of taste.
