The Irish whisky distillery Teeling Distillery was opened in Dublin in 1782. The distillery was renovated in 2015 and opened its doors just a few metres from the original site.

The distillery has become a real tourist magnet in recent years, which is probably due to the fact that visitors can gain excellent insights into the production process.

The Teeling 15 Years Old Explorers Series Irish Whiskey Japan Edition, which is based on a recipe made from corn and malted barley, initially matures for 11 years in traditional ex-bourbon casks before resting for a further four years in Mugi Shochu casks from Japan. The Explorers Series has been crafted using careful and innovative production techniques, resulting in a range of unique Irish whiskey bottlings. Each bottling in the series reflects the personality and character of each nation as the whiskeys are matured in unique casks. The Teeling is bottled without chill filtration and without additives.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber.

Nose: Candied apples, jasmine tea, vanilla notes, spices.

Flavour: Fruity after poached pears and passion fruit, notes of gingerbread, golden syrup.

Finish: Langs, soft, sweetish, refreshing, wood tannins, dried fruit.
