The crowning glory of the Octomore 14 series is the Octomore 14.3, which was distilled using 100 per cent Islay barley. The barley used for this whisky comes from Octomore Farm, just two miles away, and gives the 14.3 a very distinctive malty character.

Adam Hannett, the master distiller, opted for an innovative combination of casks to mature the Octomore 14.3. He selected first-fill ex-American whisky casks as well as second-fill wine casks, which lend the whisky a particular depth without overpowering it.

The Octomore 14.3 is not just a whisky from the Super Heavily Peated range, but a tribute to the unique characteristics of the Islay region and the distillery’s expertise. It tells the story of the land, the people and the craftsmanship that make this whisky so extraordinary.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Biscuit-like malt, peaty smoke, stone fruit notes, pears glazed with honey, caramel notes, honeycomb.

Palate: Floral aromas, creamy porridge, sweet vanilla notes, toffee, oak.

Finish: Long-lasting, earthy smoke, sweet caramel, subtle vanilla.
