Master Distiller Billy Walker from GlenAllachie spends an endless amount of time in the distillery's warehouses inspecting the more than 40,000 casks on site.

This exclusively bottled GlenAllachie 12 Years Old initially matures for a period of 8 years in high-quality ex-bourbon casks made from American oak. This exquisite whisky is then finished for more than 42 months in carefully selected Moscatel casks, which originate from Portugal and are normally used to produce an aromatic dessert wine. It is bottled at an alcohol content of 48%, without the addition of colouring agents and without chill-filtration to preserve the pure aromas and natural colour of the whisky.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden bronze.

Nose: Fruity of orange blossom and citrus fruits, heather honey, butterscotch.

Flavour: Grape must, plum jam, dark chocolate, cinnamon notes, honeycomb, hints of Ingwerer.

Finish: Langs, caramel and a hint of Ingwerer.
