The Dos Maderas Selección Superior Reserve Triple Aged Rum 42% Vol. 0.7 l + GB is a noble, multi-layered blend that combines the finest influences of the Caribbean and Spain. Produced by the renowned Bodega Williams & Humbert in Jerez de la Frontera, this exceptional rum impressively demonstrates the masterful fusion of Caribbean distilling skills and Spanish sherry ageing tradition.
The Selección Superior Reserve is a skilful marriage of 10-year-old rums from Barbados and Guyana, which are first matured in the Caribbean under tropical conditions. The barrels are then shipped to Spain, where the rums are combined with the best Dos Maderas 5+5 PX barrels in the traditional bodega. This exceptional triple maturation - tropical, continental and sherry barrel-finished - gives the rum its impressive depth, smooth structure and unrivalled density of flavour.
At 42% vol., the Selección shows its complexity without sharpness - elegant, powerful and masterfully composed.
Tasting Note
Colour: Dark mahogany with reddish-golden reflections.
Nose: Spicy and sweet with aromas of sultanas, figs, plums and vanilla cream.
Flavour: Full-bodied, velvety and dense with notes of oak, sherry sweetness, dried fruit and fine vanilla.
Finish: Langs, spicy and elegant with sweet sherry notes.
Dos Maderas Selección Superior Reserve is perfect on its own or on ice to fully experience its complex structure and depth. It harmonises perfectly with dark chocolate, crème brûlée, roasted almonds or candied fruit.
