The Mossburn Signature Casks range reflects the typical characters of Scottish malts. All whiskies in this range are first matured in American oak casks and then aged for a second period in bespoke copper-plated Mossburn casks. The Mossburn casks are produced to our own specifications. A distinction is made between Cask Bill #1 for the malts from the Iceland region and Cask Bill #2 for the Speyside region. All bottlings in the Signature Cask range are bottled without chill-filtration and without colouring.

Mossburn Foursquare 12 Years Old is a whisky that first matures in ex-bourbon casks and then receives its finish in casks that were previously filled with Foursquare rum from Barbados. This finish in the rum casks gives the whisky special aromas and an additional depth of flavour.

This is a limited edition that comes from a batch of only 38 casks.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich yellow gold.

Nose: Marmalade, Christmas cake, nutmeg, peppermint notes.

Flavour: Bitter orange peel, gingerbread, sweet spices, toffee apples.

Finish: Langs on the palate.
