Matsui Whisky The Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky comes from the renowned Kurayoshi Distillery in the Japanese prefecture of Tottori, at the foot of Mount Daisen. This region is known for its particularly pure spring water, which plays a decisive role in the production of this exceptional Japanese pure malt whisky. Kurayoshi is composed of selected, matured malts that are distilled partly in Japan and partly in Scotland and then married together in oak barrels in Japan. This process ensures the characteristic balance of gentle fruitiness, light smokiness and harmonious spiciness that characterises the style of Japanese whiskies.


At 43% vol., this pure malt whisky is balanced, elegant and pleasantly accessible. The maturation in oak casks creates a harmonious combination of mild wood, sweet vanilla and fine cereal notes.
