This exclusive edition comes from the 2008 vintage and embodies the decades of expertise of Destilerías Unidas in Venezuela.

Made from a careful selection of the best sugar cane honeys, this rum is distilled in traditional copper pot stills, which gives it its deep, complex and full-bodied character. The rum is then matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon and single malt whisky casks before being refined in ex-sherry casks for a final finish. This final barrel maturation gives it an exceptional smoothness, sweet fruity flavours and an elegant spiciness.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber with reddish-golden reflections.

Nose: Intense aromas of vanilla, ripe dried fruit, toffee and dark chocolate, accompanied by fine sherry and oak notes.

Flavour: Full-bodied and complex with notes of honey, caramel, roasted nuts, sweet spices and a hint of tobacco.

Finish: Long-lasting, silky and warm with elegant nuances of oak, cocoa and sherry-typical fruitiness.
