Douglas Laing has updated the name of their famous Island blended malt bottling from 'Rock Oyster' to 'Rock Island', without changing the award-winning contents. Rock Island brings together selected single malts from the Scottish islands of Islay, Arran, Jura and An Orkney, giving it distinctive smoky notes, sweetness and maritime flavours. As part of the Remarkable Regional Malts series, Rock Island symbolises the diversity and quality of Scotland's malt whisky regions.

The special Rock Island 14 Years Old Sherry Edition complements the flavour profile with the nuances created by maturation in sherry casks. This maturation method gives the whisky a rich and robust character that combines the island whiskies with the complexity and depth of the sherry casks, making it a special addition to whisky collections.

This edition is characterised by its naturalness, as it is free from added colourings and does not undergo chill filtration.

Tasting Note

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Warming, earthy, smoked bacon, peaty barley.

Flavour: Spicy, sweetish, toast with butter, sausage.

Finish: Langs on the palate.
