The Scottish Wemyss family has a deep-rooted passion for whisky that dates back to the early 19th century, when John Haig, the founder of Haig’s Whisky, built his first distillery on the family’s land. William and Isabella Wemyss, the siblings behind the Kingsbarns Distillery, are not only deeply rooted in the region but have also established themselves as independent bottlers of single casks and blended malts.

As master blender Isabella Wemyss selected the finest casks from the first vintages for Alba Import, the single-cask bottlings have demonstrated that the exotically fruity Kingsbarns spirit, combined with cask strength and first-fill bourbon casks, is proving highly popular.

Through their commitment and dedication, the Wemyss family is setting new standards in the world of whisky and, with the Kingsbarns Distillery, is producing distinctive, high-quality spirits that combine both tradition and innovation.

Tasting Note
