The Kanosuke distillery, which is located on one of the most extensive sandy beaches in Japan, is launching its first regular bottling on the market with the Kanosuke Single Malt. Since its foundation in 2017 and the commissioning of three differently shaped stills, the distillery has mainly used American oak barrels, which were previously used to store shochu, a traditional Japanese high-proof spirit.

The Shizuoka United S is the result of combining selected malt whisky from the legendary Karuizawa pot still and a wood-fired pot still, which makes it a particularly fascinating product. This first edition of Shizuoka United S is a unique and complex whisky that is an exciting discovery for both Japanese whisky lovers and connoisseurs worldwide.

The combination of these two distillation methods gives the whisky a special depth and complexity that makes it an outstanding representative of modern Japanese whisky production.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber.

Nose: Sweet, fruity, orange honey, apricots.

Flavour: Candied orange peel, butter, sponge cake, vanilla, crêpes suzette.

Finish: Langs on the palate.
