With The Arran BARREL BONFIRE, the Isle of Arran Distillery presents the second edition of its innovative Signature Series, which is characterised by creative cask selection, experimental maturation and sensory depth. This 50 % vol. bottling combines the typical fruitiness of Arran with smoky, wood-accentuated notes - inspired by the atmosphere of a crackling campfire in the cask store.

The BARREL BONFIRE Edition has been matured in specially selected casks, which produce intense roasted flavours through toasting and recharring. The combination of fresh oak, charcoal and a fruity base structure makes this single malt Scotch whisky an exceptional composition with depth and complexity. As with all bottlings in the Signature range, Arran does not use chill-filtration or colouring agents - for an unadulterated taste experience at natural strength.

Each bottle is stylishly presented in a natural-coloured linen bag - a real collector's item with a high level of recognition. The BARREL BONFIRE single malt is aimed at connoisseurs who are enthusiastic about powerful, cask-strength whiskies and curious about the aromatic diversity of the Signature Series.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with light amber reflections.

Nose: Warm charcoal flavour, accompanied by grilled apricot, vanilla, clove and roasted nuts. Subtle smoky notes are reminiscent of an open fire in a wooden barrel store.

Taste: Full-bodied, dry and spicy with roasted flavours, dark caramel, baking spices and subtle fruit sweetness in the background. The wood flavour is present but well integrated.

Finish: Langs with warming wood smoke, toasted oak, dark chocolate and a hint of cinnamon.

The Arran BARREL BONFIRE is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meat, especially BBQ dishes, smoked ribs or spicy chorizo. Spicy cheeses such as old Comté or Manchego also go very well with the strong flavour. Flavoured desserts such as crème brûlée or roasted pecan nuts are recommended as a sweet accompaniment. For special moments of pleasure, this whisky can also be enjoyed neat on a cool evening - ideal in front of the fire or in the open air with friends.
