Founded in 2010 by brothers Steve and Paul Beam, Limestone Branch Distillery is a relatively young producer of American whiskey in the "Bourbon State" of Kentucky. Despite its recent history, the distillery attaches great importance to its traditional family history in whiskey distilling, which spans seven generations. Its great-great-grandfather, Washington Dant, was an early bourbon pioneer, and its great-grandfather Minor Case Beam belongs to the family of the famous Jim Beams.

In the 1960s, the Yellowstone whiskey brand was one of the leading brands in the USA, until it finally ended up with Luxco after several changes of ownership. Luxco founded the Limestone Branch Distillery specifically for the production of the Yellowstone brand.

The distillery's Special Finishes Collection is an ever-expanding exploration of finishes and perspectives on its iconic bourbon profile. To add to the collection, the Rum Cask was created. Aged for nine weeks in rum barrels direct from Havana, Cuba, they infuse their four-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey with notes of spice and tropical sweetness.

Tasting Note

Colour: amber.

Nose: Gingerbread, pears, freshly cut hay.

Flavour: Toasted marshmallow, crème brûlée, toffee, toasted oak.

Finish: Langs, cloves, oak, honey.

The whisky can be enjoyed neat or used to mix cocktails.
