Weingut Polz, located in the south of Styria in Austria, is characterised by its ideal wine-growing location. Founded in 1896, it enjoys a reputation for producing high-quality wines, favoured by optimal climatic conditions and specific soil characteristics. Under the leadership of the fourth generation, the winery strives to preserve its heritage and continue the family tradition with a strong focus on sustainability. Responsible for the cellar and vinification, Christoph Polz relies on careful manual labour and selective grape harvesting, which underlines the quality of the wines.

This white wine from the Morillon grape variety, also known as Chardonnay, grows on a soil of shell limestone, clay, sand, limestone marl and slate. It is matured in steel tanks and sealed with a screw cap. It has ageing potential until at least 2026.

Tasting Note

Clear, light lemon yellow with green reflections in the glass. The nose reveals fruity, exotic aromas of ripe nectarines, pomelos, papayas, melons and candied lemon zest. Lively and lively on the palate with salty minerality and fruity notes. The finish is long-lasting, exotic and fruity.

Harmonises excellently with caramelised sheep's cheese on beetroot, refined with honey walnuts and cress, as well as with a classic snack.
