An excellent rosé champagne can only be made from optimally ripened grapes, which is often a challenge in the cool conditions of Champagne. To fulfil this requirement, Louis Roederer grows its grapes in Cumières, where the clay-limestone soil and steep slope provide ideal growing conditions. The vineyards are completely south-facing and the reflected sunlight from the Marne contributes to the high phenolic ripeness of the grapes.

Luis Roederer Champagne Rosé consists of around 63% Pinot Noir and 37% Chardonnay, with 24% of the wine maturing in oak barrels. After four years on the lees, the cuvée matures for a further 6 months after dégorgement to develop the perfect balance and depth.

This careful ageing gives the champagne its exceptional complexity and elegance.

Tasting Note

Delicate golden pink colour with shiny reflections in the glass. Intense nose of juicy peaches, redcurrants and citrus fruits. Lush, juicy, pleasantly mineral on the palate, accompanied by ripe nectarines and lemons. Langs on the finish with a subtle bitterness and slightly salty notes.
