Description
The name ‘Mac Na Mara’, which means ‘son of the sea’ in Gaelic, refers to the rich maritime tradition of the Scottish Hebrides, which have been closely linked to the Celtic maritime kingdom for centuries. From the Middle Ages through to the 16th century, this kingdom dominated the key maritime routes stretching from the Isle of Man to the Isle of Lewis. This historical significance is reflected in the origins and character of MacNaMara.
The MacNaMara Rum Finish Blended Whisky has been carefully selected and, following traditional maturation in bourbon casks, perfected through a finishing process in rum casks. This double maturation lends this limited-edition whisky a distinctive complexity and adds a harmonious, pleasant sweetness that makes its aroma even more multi-layered and balanced.
