The distillates are aged for at least 20 years in a complex Solera system comprising no fewer than twelve rows of casks. During this process, the brandy gradually moves through the various stages of ageing, whilst the quantities drawn off are continuously replenished with younger distillates. The casks used previously held Oloroso sherry, which gives the brandy its characteristic depth, delicate sweetness and exceptional complexity. The long ageing period and careful barrel selection give the Gran Duque D'Alba Oro Solera Gran Reserva its unmistakable character and make it one of the most prestigious bottlings from Jerez.

Tasting Note

Colour: Mahogany.

Nose: Intense and complex aromas of raisins, figs, vanilla, oak, spices and subtle sherry notes.

Palate: Smooth, full-bodied and exceptionally well-rounded, with sweet ripe fruit, Oloroso sherry, vanilla, oak and elegant spice.

Finish: Very long-lasting, fruity, spicy and harmonious.
