Rhum J.M Très Vieux Rhum Agricole X.O. is an outstanding Rhum Agricole AOC Martinique, representing the Caribbean island’s time-honoured rum-making tradition at the very highest level. At 45 % vol. in a 0.7 l bottle, this premium Rhum Agricole is produced exclusively from fresh sugarcane juice and bears the protected designation of origin AOC Martinique. The Rhum J.M distillery, situated at the foot of the Montagne Pelée volcano, benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soils, a tropical climate and exceptionally pure spring water – ideal conditions for producing exceptional rums with a distinctive terroir.

For the Très Vieux X.O., carefully selected distillates are aged for many years in French oak casks, allowing them to develop impressive complexity and elegance. The long cask ageing imparts intense aromas of candied fruit, vanilla, cocoa and fine spices to the rum, whilst preserving the characteristic fresh sugar cane character of Rhum Agricole. The combination of traditional Creole distillation, high-quality sugar cane juice and careful ageing makes this XO Rhum Agricole one of the most renowned examples of its category.

Colour: Deep mahogany with amber highlights.

Nose: Candied fruit, vanilla, cocoa, roasted nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and subtle oak notes.

Palate: Full-bodied and elegant with caramelised fruit, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted spices, subtle oak and fresh sugar cane.

Finish: Long-lasting, smooth and complex with spicy woody notes, cocoa, dried fruit and an elegant freshness of sugar cane.
