Diversitas, a wine producer from Loreto Aprutino in Abruzzo, cultivates leased plots of land in other sub-regions of the region in addition to its main vineyard at the foot of the Gran Sasso.

This approach enables a diverse production of indigenous wines, including Pinot Grigio, which is the result of a bud mutation of Pinot Noir. Together with a Werder, Diversitas manages a plot in the Pescara sub-region, which is cultivated using environmentally friendly methods, including inter-row planting.

The yields amount to 12,000 kg per hectare, with one plant producing four bottles of wine. After the harvest in September, the grapes are gently pressed, fermented in steel tanks under cool conditions and refined by micro-oxygenation. The wine matures for 3-4 months in the bottle and is characterised by sustainable practices and modern cellar technology.

Tasting Note

Pale straw yellow in the glass. Intense notes of white fruits such as golden apples and pears on the nose. Refreshing on the palate, ripe apples, peach, melon and orange blossom. Long and persistent on the finish.
