Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Fresh citrus notes of lemons and limes, followed by a hint of peat smoke accompanied by a sea breeze.

Taste: Full-bodied and complex, with a combination of rough peat notes, grilled wood, slightly salty flavours and a subtle spiciness.

Finish: Langs and warming, with a lingering smoky and salty note that gently fades away.

The Gordon & MacPhail Caol Ila 13 Years Old DISCOVERY is ideal for drinking neat or with ice to fully develop the complex flavours. It goes perfectly with grilled meat, mature cheeses such as cheddar or gouda and seafood such as mussels or grilled salmon.
