Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, Ramos Pinto has a history of over 140 years. With an innovative and pioneering strategy, the company expanded its business activities to the Brazilian market and successfully established itself there. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Ramos Pinto brand was exported to South America, contributing to its worldwide recognition. The Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny matures for three years in oak barriques and presents itself in an orange-red colour that underlines its evolution. This Tawny is a blend of Port wines aged between 3 and 5 years and is made from the Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grape varieties. After ageing, the wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork.

Tasting Note

A warm, brownish red colour in the glass. Intense aromas of dried fruit, roasted almonds and delicate vanilla notes on the nose. A refined combination of ripe plums, figs and caramel on the palate, accompanied by gentle roasted flavours and a hint of chocolate. Long and persistent on the finish.

Serving temperature: 15-18 °C

This mature port wine is ideal as a digestif or as an accompaniment to fine desserts such as crème brûlée, chocolate truffles or nut tarts. It also unfolds its full flavour with mature cheeses such as Stilton or Roquefort.
