The Eichenwald Weine estate is located in Horitschon, one of the most renowned wine-growing communities in Austria's Burgenland region, which is known for its excellent wines. The region, especially the Neusiedlersee hilly landscape, offers ideal climatic conditions for growing red wine varieties, making the winery a true paradise for lovers of powerful and expressive wines. The winery pursues a philosophy based on sustainable cultivation, tradition and artisanal processing of the grapes.
Eichenwald HORIZZANTE Blanc de Noirs is an exceptional sparkling wine made from 100% Blaufränkisch grapes. This "white" sparkling wine made from red grapes impressively demonstrates how versatile and full of character this grape variety can also be in the production of sparkling wines. The grapes are gently pressed so that only the light-coloured must is extracted. This is fermented at a controlled temperature to preserve the flavours and create the basis for this elegant and sparkling sparkling wine.
Tasting Note
Light gold colour with a fine perlage in the glass. The nose reveals a bouquet of green apples, ripe pears, redcurrants and a hint of citrus fruit, giving the wine a fresh and fruity appearance. Lively and fresh on the palate with fruity flavours of Blaufränkisch grapes. Long and persistent on the finish.

Eichenwald HORIZZANTE Blanc de Noirs is an excellent aperitif and goes perfectly with fresh seafood, light dishes such as salads or smoked salmon. It is also an ideal accompaniment to delicate fish dishes or starters. This sparkling wine is also perfect with lighter summer dishes and is a tangy delight for social occasions.
