The Eichenwald Winery is situated in Horitschon, one of the most renowned wine-growing communities in the Austrian province of Burgenland, which is famous for its outstanding wines. Eichenwald DIE ZEITREISE Cuvée is an exquisite red wine blend made from the noble grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is matured with the utmost care, developing its complexity and depth whilst ageing in large wooden casks and used barriques. This ageing process gives the cuvée a harmonious balance between fruit and spice, which blend together perfectly.

This cuvée is a full-bodied, well-structured red wine that achieves wonderful complexity through its prolonged ageing in wooden casks.

Tasting Note

A deep colour in the glass. On the nose, aromas of plum, blackberries and a hint of persimmon, accompanied by subtle spicy notes. On the palate, the dark fruit unfolds and is perfectly rounded off by elegant tannins and a delicate backbone of acidity. Long-lasting and harmonious on the finish.

Eichenwald DIE ZEITREISE Cuvée is the perfect accompaniment to medium-rare steaks, smoky ribs or confit pork belly with Asian flavours.
