Eichenwald Der Geistesblitz Blaufränkisch is a powerful and complex red wine that is matured for 24 months in first and second fill barriques to fully develop its structure and variety of flavours. This Blaufränkisch from the Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve impresses with its intense fruit and full-bodied structure.

Tasting Note

Dark red in the glass. Intense bouquet of cocoa, blackberries, cassis and smoky, roasted notes on the nose. Harmonious on the palate with flavours of dark chocolate and fresh sour cherries. Long-lasting and powerful on the finish.

Drinking temperature: 16-18 °C

This Blaufränkisch is an excellent accompaniment to roasted lamb, game dishes or braised beef. It also harmonises excellently with mature hard cheeses such as Comté or Parmesan.
