The Signatory Vintage Small Batch Edition Royal Brackla 10 Years Old Single Malt #17 is a remarkable single malt Scotch whisky from the renowned Royal Brackla Distillery in the Highlands. This whisky was distilled in 2014 and matured for over a decade before being bottled in 2024 as part of Signatory Vintage's Small Batch Edition #17. With an alcohol content of 48.2% vol., it is presented at natural cask strength, which emphasises its intense aromas and characterful taste.

It was initially matured in traditional oak casks, followed by refinement in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. This special post-maturing process gives the whisky a deep, complex flavour with notes of dark fruit, chocolate and nutty hints. The combination of the rich sherry sweetness and the classic Highland malt flavours makes this single malt an exceptional pleasure experience.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Aromas of dried fruit, especially sultanas and figs, accompanied by sweet vanilla and a hint of spice

Flavour: Full-bodied and velvety with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and roasted nuts, harmoniously balanced by a subtle spiciness.

Finish: Langs and warming, with a pleasant sweetness and a hint of oak.

A splash of water can further open up and intensify the complex flavours. In culinary terms, it harmonises excellently with dark chocolate, mature cheese or desserts with nut and caramel components.
