Distilled in 2009 and matured for over 16 years in selected oak casks, this whisky has a powerful 57.1% vol. (100 proof), allowing its full flavour profile to come into its own. The long maturation in American oak casks gives it a deep, soft sweetness and a remarkable complexity that is typical of matured single grain whiskies.

Non-chill-filtered and bottled without colouring, this whisky retains its natural purity and authenticity. It is an excellent choice for connoisseurs looking for a characterful and full-bodied single grain whisky at cask strength.

Tasting Note

Colour: Rich gold with amber reflections.

Nose: Intense aromas of vanilla, caramel, honey and toasted wood, accompanied by a hint of coconut and butterscotch.

Flavour: Full-bodied and velvety with notes of sweet vanilla, creamy caramel, dried fruit and a fine spiciness from the long barrel ageing.

Finish: Langs, warm and complex with hints of oak spice, sweet malt and subtle spicy notes.

This high-proof single grain whisky unfolds its full potential neat or with a few drops of water to open up its flavour structure optimally. It harmonises perfectly with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, mature cheese or a mild cigar.
