The Frauwallner Sauvignon Blanc Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2024 is a pure Sauvignon Blanc that perfectly reflects the typical characteristics of Styria. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol. and a bottle size of 0.75 litres, this white wine is an excellent choice for lovers of fresh, fruity and mineral wines.

The grapes are carefully harvested by hand to select only the best fruit. After the harvest, a maceration period of 2 to 3 days takes place, which gives the wines additional flavours and a fine structure. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks, which gives the wine its clear freshness and the typical flavours of Sauvignon Blanc. Closed with a practical screw cap, the freshness of the wine is optimally preserved.

With a drinking potential from 2025 to 2027, this Sauvignon Blanc shows a maturity potential that will allow us to observe the wine's development over the coming years. A wine that will lead to even more complex flavours both when enjoyed young and when matured further.

Tasting Note

Frauwallner Sauvignon Blanc presents itself in the glass in a bright, pale yellow colour with green reflections. On the nose, the wine develops intense aromas of tropical fruits such as passion fruit and grapefruit, paired with fresh herbs and a hint of green pepper. On the palate, the wine is lively and refreshing, with a pronounced fruitiness and finely integrated acidity that provides balance. The minerality from the volcanic soils gives the wine additional depth, leading to a long, elegant finish that rounds off the flavours perfectly.

Frauwallner Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent accompaniment to light dishes such as grilled fish, seafood or a fresh salad with citrus vinaigrette. This Sauvignon Blanc also harmonises perfectly with Asian-inspired dishes such as sushi or Thai curry. Due to its freshness, it is also perfect as an aperitif or for summer garden parties.
