The long maturation period in selected oak casks - often refined with special finishes such as wine or sherry casks - gives the whisky a wonderful balance between fruitiness, flavour and mature wood structure. Typical of Tobermory, the unpeated style is also retained in this bottling, allowing the fine fruit and cask notes to come into their own. The bottling is non-chill-filtered and without colouring to preserve the original depth of character.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep gold with a coppery sheen.

Nose: Complex and expressive with ripe peaches, dried apricots, vanilla, cinnamon, toasted almonds and a hint of maritime freshness.

Flavour: Full-bodied, oily and elegant with honey, ripe fruit, malt, caramel, fine oak spice and a subtle citrus note.

Finish: Langs, warm and complex with dried fruit, a fine wood structure, a hint of salt and fine tannin spice.
