This limited edition is part of Diageo's annual Special Releases Collection and has been bottled at 48.2% alcohol by volume - not chill-filtered to preserve the full flavour experience.

"The Wild Blue" symbolises the unbridled power of the sea that has always inspired Talisker. The combination of the typical salty sea breeze, smoky spice and a hint of sweetness reflects the power of the storms over the Scottish islands. The whisky is matured in carefully selected casks, which give it additional complexity, depth and structure - and ensure its unique character within the Talisker range.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold with a maritime shimmer.

Nose: Fresh and lively with sea salt, white pepper, green apple, lemon zest and a fine smokiness.

Taste: Powerful and salty, with chilli-like spiciness, smoky oak, citrus fruits, honey and slightly peaty notes.

Finish: Langs, dry and spicy with maritime notes, charred wood and peppery warmth.
