The Polz Gelber Muskateller Südsteiermark DAC 2024 is an aromatic, precisely vinified white wine that impressively reflects the terroir of southern Styria. It comes from the renowned Polz winery, which has been known for generations for its clear style, uncompromising quality and subtle interpretation of Styrian grape varieties. Gelber Muskateller is one of the estate's flagship wines and the 2024 vintage once again expresses the best of this fragrant variety.

The vines grow on a fascinatingly diverse soil profile made up of shell limestone, clay, sand, limestone marl and slate - a geological diversity that lends the wine complexity, minerality and depth. Ageing in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks preserves the lively freshness and typical varietal flavours. With an alcohol content of 12% vol., a drinking potential until at least 2027 and the practical twist-off cap, this wine is ideal for connoisseurs and curious wine lovers alike.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the wine is a clear lemon yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is typical Muscat - expressive, floral and herbal, with intense aromas of elderflower, white lilac and fresh muscat grapes. A multi-layered picture unfolds on the palate: lemon balm, thyme, apricot and fresh garden herbs merge with a taut, invigorating acidity structure. The wine is grapey, juicy, animating and wonderfully dry - without a trace of kitsch. A Gelber Muskateller with origin, style and bite.
