The Grauer Burgunder grape variety is interpreted here in a stylistically calm, elegant form, with substance, juiciness and origin taking centre stage. With an alcohol content of 13%, the wine is balanced and clearly structured. Vinification in small used wooden barrels lends depth and texture without masking the varietal character. Bottled with a screw cap, the freshness is retained while at the same time the ageing potential is guaranteed. The recommended ageing period of at least three to five years emphasises the longevity of this Pinot Gris. Tasting Note

Brilliant medium straw yellow in the glass with golden reflections. Unobtrusively elegant on the nose with ripe yellow stone fruit, nutty notes and hints of saffron biscuits. Full-bodied, juicy and dense on the palate with a clear centre and harmonious structure. The finish is persistent, balanced and elegant.

The Polz Pinot Gris Südsteiermark DAC 2021 is an exceptionally strong accompaniment to food and harmonises perfectly with veal, poultry and white meat dishes. It is also very harmonious with creamy pasta dishes, mushroom risotto or fine vegetable dishes with roasted flavours. It is also an excellent accompaniment to matured semi-hard cheese or mild hard cheese.
