The E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône AC 2022 is a characterful, classic red wine from the southern Rhône valley and comes from the renowned E.Guigal wine house, which is one of the most important producers in France. Since 1946, the family business from Ampuis has stood for uncompromising quality, traditional vinification and wines with character and provenance. The Côtes du Rhône 2022 is a prime example of the art of combining grape variety diversity, terroir and style.

The cuvée consists of the typical Rhône grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, carefully vinified and matured in large barrels. The high proportion of Syrah provides depth, structure and flavour, while Grenache provides warmth and fruit. The wine is aged traditionally in wood, which gives the wine elegance and ageability. With an alcohol content of 15 % vol. and its full-bodied style, this vintage is powerful, complex and yet accessible - a classic Rhône red wine with character and expression.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections. Intense aromas of dark berries, black cherry, pepper, liquorice and fine spice on the nose. Full-bodied, harmonious and structured on the palate, with ripe tannins, juicy fruit and a spicy, long finish. An expressive Rhône wine with depth and elegance.
