The Grand Vin de Château Latour Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac 2015 is an outstanding representative of Bordeaux wines and comes from one of the region's most prestigious wine estates. Château Latour, with a history dating back to the 14th century, is located in the heart of the Médoc and is known for its powerful and long-lasting wines. The 2015 cuvée consists of 97.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.6% Merlot and 0.3% Petit Verdot and was bottled with an alcohol content of 13% vol.

The 2015 vintage benefited from ideal weather conditions, which allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly. The harvest took place between 15 September and 10 October. Only around 30% of the harvest was used for the Grand Vin, which emphasises the strict selection and quality standards of the estate. The wine was matured in 100% new French oak barrels, which gives it additional complexity and structure.

Tasting Note

The 2015 Château Latour presents itself in a deep garnet red colour in the glass. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of blackcurrants, blackberries and plums, accompanied by notes of roses, dark chocolate, garrigue, menthol and a hint of sandalwood. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a taut, muscular fruit structure, supported by very firm, smooth, rounded tannins and an impressive freshness that leads to a seductive, earthy and mineral finish.

This wine is an ideal accompaniment to red meat, game dishes and mature cheeses. Its structure and depth make it a perfect partner for festive occasions and special moments. Due to its high ageing potential of at least 30 years, it is also an excellent investment or gift for wine lovers.
