The Douglas Laing Big Peat Fèis Ìle Vintage 2010/2025 is a special limited edition bottling from the award-winning Big Peat Islay blended malt Scotch whisky range from the independent family business Douglas Laing & Co. This powerful bottling has been specially created to celebrate the legendary Fèis Ìle - the Islay Festival of Music and Malt - and pays homage to the characterful whisky island of Islay. Every year, Douglas Laing releases a special edition to mark the occasion - 2025 with a vintage from 2010, which was allowed to mature in carefully selected refill hogshead casks.

This Islay blended malt Scotch whisky expresses the raw soul of Islay: with a strong character, multi-layered smoky flavour and authentic production. The Fèis Ìle 2025 Edition was bottled without chill filtration and without colouring, in a small batch edition and at a strong 50% alcohol by volume. The single malts used come exclusively from various distilleries on the island of Islay and reflect the full range of the smoky, maritime style for which Big Peat is famous. With a phenol content of 40 PPM, this bottling delivers a particularly intense experience for peat smoke fans.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light gold.

Nose: Sweet peat smoke, seaweed, salty sea air and a hint of campfire ash.

Flavour: Powerful and maritime with notes of soot, smoked meat, coal dust, BBQ spices and delicate sugar.

Finish: Langs, smoky and dry with the classic Big Peat signature - salty, peaty, intense.
