Description
Description
Leitner Weißburgunder Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2024 is an outstanding example of a modern Styrian white wine with a clear profile of origin. In the heart of Vulkanland, one of the most exciting wine regions in Styria, wines with climatic elegance, mineral depth and finesse-rich flavours are produced. Pinot Blanc, also known internationally as Weißburgunder, shows its full class here - characterised by its origin, varietal character and careful vinification.
The vines thrive on mineral volcanic soils, which give the wine a precise structure and fine flavour. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its freshness and varietal character. The 2024 vintage impresses with its elegance, clarity and moderate alcohol content of 12.5% by volume, making it a versatile wine for any occasion. Bottled in a 0.75 litre bottle with a practical screw cap, this Pinot Blanc stands for uncomplicated, sophisticated drinking pleasure with high standards.
The Leitner Pinot Blanc DAC is a prime example of the new Styria: modern, clear, easy-drinking and origin-orientated - perfect for anyone who appreciates straightforward, elegant white wines with freshness and depth.
Tasting Note
The Leitner Pinot Blanc 2024 has a light straw yellow colour with silver reflections in the glass. The nose reveals fine aromas of yellow apple, pear, fresh citrus zest and a hint of almond blossom. On the palate, the wine is juicy, clearly structured and elegant, with animating acidity, subtle minerality and a fine, harmonious finish. A Pinot Blanc that impresses with balance, fruit and style.
Acidity: 5.4 g/l
Residual sugar: 2.9 g/l
This Styrian white wine is a versatile accompaniment to food. It is ideal with dishes such as fried zander, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, light pasta variations with vegetables or poultry in creamy sauces. It is also a perfect choice with fresh spring vegetables, quiches or fine fish carpaccios. Enjoyed on its own, it unfolds its aromatic flavours particularly well at 8-10 °C - ideal for a stylish aperitif or relaxed evenings on the terrace.
