Tasting Note

In the glass, the wine is a clear, medium-dense ruby red colour with purple reflections. The bouquet reveals lively aromas of red cherries, raspberries and redcurrants, underpinned by fine herbal and spicy notes such as thyme, black pepper and a hint of violets. On the palate, the Chianti is dry, medium-bodied and pleasantly soft, with fresh acidity, gentle tannins and a harmonious, fruit-accentuated finish reminiscent of ripe forest fruits and Mediterranean herbs.

The Frescobaldi Castiglioni Chianti 2024 is a wonderful accompaniment to classic Italian cuisine such as pasta with tomato sauce, grilled vegetables, pizza, risotto with mushrooms or poultry dishes.
