The Scheiblhofer Cabernet Sauvignon Selection 2024 is an Austrian quality red wine full of character with a dry finish that impresses with its strength, fruit and fine flavour. Grown in sunny Burgenland and vinified purely from Cabernet Sauvignon, this red wine elegantly expresses the full flavour spectrum of the variety.

It is matured for 7 months in second-fill barriques, which harmoniously combines the structure of the wine with delicate wood notes. This careful ageing allows for a smooth texture, while the primary fruit always remains in the foreground. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., this wine is powerful but balanced - ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate depth and freshness in equal measure.

The successful combination of varietal fruit expression, mild tartness and a fine oak touch makes this Cabernet Sauvignon a convincing accompaniment to food as well as a soloist in the glass. Drinking maturity from 2025 to 2031 guarantees long-lasting enjoyment.

Tasting Note

A deep, dark violet colour with a youthful sheen in the glass. The nose is characterised by typical black currants, complemented by red pepper spice and a hint of caramel and oak. A powerful but controlled tartness unfolds on the palate, carried by complex fruit, dense structure and finely dosed wood flavours. The finish is long, precise and elegant, leaving a lasting impression.

At a recommended serving temperature of 16 °C and decanting before drinking, this Cabernet reveals its full potential.
