The whisky comes from a single cask, a classic sherry butt, which is known for its intense and characterising wood influence. This type of cask is closely associated with the traditional style of Glenfarclas and gives the whisky depth, complexity and maturity. This single cask Scotch whisky has been bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colouring agents, thus fully preserving the natural cask maturation. The Family Casks series is the result of George S. Grant's foresight and is based on an exceptionally extensive stock of casks spanning several decades.
