The Paladin Drago Bianco Chardonnay 2023 is a white wine full of character from the renowned Paladin winery in Veneto, northern Italy. The family winery near Annone Veneto stands for tradition, innovation and a clear quality philosophy. With the "Drago Bianco", Paladin brings a single-varietal Chardonnay to the bottle that delights with expressiveness, elegance and a Mediterranean soul.

The grapes for this wine come from our own vineyards with well-aerated, loamy and chalky soils, which give the Chardonnay strength, structure and minerality. After careful harvesting, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature. Some of the wine matures for a short time on the fine lees, which gives it additional depth and complexity. The 2023 vintage is characterised by fully ripe fruit, fine spiciness and superbly integrated acidity - a versatile and modern Chardonnay with a regional character.

Tasting Note

In the glass, Drago Bianco has a light golden yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals aromas of yellow apple, pear, exotic melon and white flowers, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and fresh citrus notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and harmonious, with good volume, fine fruit depth and a balanced, mineral finish with a slightly creamy texture.

This Chardonnay is an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish, seafood, risotto with vegetables or shellfish, white meat or creamy pasta dishes. It is also an elegant white wine for connoisseurs on its own or as a stylish aperitif.
