Distilled in 2007 and bottled after 17 years of maturation in 2024, this Highland single malt is a real highlight for lovers of complex, cask-strength whiskies with individual cask character. The Blair Athol Distillery, located in Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands, is known for full-bodied, spicy whiskies with a nutty character. In an independent bottling by Signatory Vintage, one of Scotland's most renowned bottlers, the distillate unfolds in its purist form - not chill-filtered, not coloured and at authentic cask strength.

Tasting Note

Colour: Amber with a copper-coloured core.

Nose: Deep malt aromas, dark fruits, cloves, toffee, toasted wood and a hint of leather.

Flavour: Strong and structured with notes of dried fruit, muscovado sugar, oak spice, mocha and nutty warmth.

Finish: Langs, intense and warming with spicy oak notes, dark chocolate and a slight sherry influence.

Delicious on its own or with a few drops of water to open up the flavours. Ideal with intense dishes such as game terrine, dark chocolate, mature cheese or as an accompaniment to a cigar. Also ideal as a collector's item or the highlight of a whisky tasting. A classic Highland malt with rarity value and plenty of expressiveness.
