The GlenAllachie 15 Years Old Speyside Single Malt forms the centrepiece of the distillery's modern Core Range and impressively demonstrates how the style has evolved under Billy Walker, the former Master Distiller of renowned distilleries. Its maturation in a targeted combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads creates a particularly expressive single malt that combines dark fruit flavours and spicy depth. The distillery deliberately opts for a natural presentation: the bottling is uncoloured, not chill-filtered and therefore develops an authentic, multi-layered aroma that clearly shows the influence of the sherry casks used. The newly created Core Range comprises four bottlings with a strong character, which together redefine the quality standards of the Speyside distillery.


The aromatic focus of this 15-year-old whisky combines the typical GlenAllachie characteristics - first and foremost the distinctive heather honey - with the deep, sweet and spicy notes that come from the intensive sherry cask maturation. The interplay of dark cherries, figs, toffee and golden syrup notes creates a full-bodied profile, while Elements such as orange peel, cocoa and Ingwerer provide a lively structure. The cask composition gives the whisky a warm, dense character that offers both connoisseurs and lovers of fruity Speyside whiskies a multi-layered pleasure. The elegant gift box rounds off the overall picture in an appealing way.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark gold with a copper shimmer.

Nose: Dark cherries, golden syrup and sweet spices, followed by toffee, glazed figs and hazelnut.

Taste: Heather honey as a distillery feature, plus orange peel, cocoa, Ingwerer and caramelised brown sugar.

Finish: Langs, warm and spicy with distinct sherry cask notes.

This Speyside single malt harmonises perfectly with rich desserts such as chocolate tart, toffee pudding or fig pastries, as its intense sherry notes pick up on these flavours perfectly. With strong cheeses such as mature cheddar or creamy blue mould, it unfolds a multi-layered, exciting combination.
