The Tomintoul 30 Years Old 1995 from the limited Symington's Choice series by Signatory Vintage is an exceptional single cask single malt whisky from the Scottish Speyside that impresses with its long maturation, elegant choice of cask and aromatic depth. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2025, this whisky spent a full 30 years in a single, carefully selected first fill Oloroso sherry butt - a maturation cask that is largely responsible for its character.

This noble drop was created by Tomintoul Master Distiller Robert Fleming, who was responsible for the base product with his decades of experience. Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage, discovered this mature treasure in the cask store and decided to include it directly from the single cask in the exclusive Symington's Choice range. It was bottled at cask strength at 50.7% vol., naturally non-chill-filtered and in natural colour to preserve the full expressiveness and authenticity of this Speyside malt.

This 30-year-old whisky combines maturity with elegance, complexity with depth - a single malt for connoisseurs and collectors that shines through both its provenance and its cask history.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark copper.

Nose: Ripe dried fruit, sultanas, figs, toffee, dark chocolate, sherry, spices and an elegant oak note.

Flavour: Full-bodied, smooth and complex with notes of caramel, dried stone fruit, nuts, cinnamon, old leather and a hint of mocha.

Finish: Langs, warming and complex with sweet sherry spice, oak and a hint of orange zest.

This exceptional Tomintoul is best enjoyed neat at room temperature to fully experience the fine flavours of the first fill Oloroso sherry butts. A few drops of water can help to reveal further layers of flavour. Ideal as a meditative dram for a quiet moment, as the highlight of a tasting evening or in combination with strong cheese, dried figs or dark chocolate.
