This special edition is Inspired by Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea by JING, a complex tea with luscious dessert wine flavours, exotic fruit notes and subtle floral sweetness.


The whisky, which is predominantly matured in American oak sherry casks, develops fruity and floral flavours that are wonderfully balanced by European oak. The latter gives it roasted richness and a fine astringency, while the bourbon casks add a final sweetness that mimics the dessert wine flavours of Phoenix Honey Orchid tea. Rich in tradition and history, the synergies between The Macallan and JING Tea are celebrated in a ritual that combines heritage and art. The image of the ceremonial tea pet serves as a vehicle to tell the story of this special collaboration. A poetic animation featuring the Andalusian horse also references the Jerez sherry tradition and the close connection to The Macallan's rich sherry journey.
