The Kilchoman 100% Islay 11 Years Old Sherry Cask Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky exemplifies the uncompromising farm-distillery approach of the Kilchoman Distillery. This bottling combines all production steps entirely on the island of Islay and thus bears the label 100% Islay in its purest form. This Islay single malt Scotch whisky was distilled from the distillery's own barley harvests in 2011, 2012 and 2013 before maturing for at least 11 years in carefully selected ex-Oloroso sherry butts. A total of 16 first fill Oloroso sherry casks were used, which were previously used by José y Miguel Martin in Jerez, Spain, giving the whisky a striking depth.


The Kilchoman 100% Islay Sherry Cask 11 Years Old was bottled at a powerful 50% vol. and naturally without chill filtration or colouring. Compared to previous 100% Islay editions, which matured predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, this sherry cask matured bottling has a significantly darker and more structured profile. The long maturation in Oloroso sherry casks emphasises the unique character of the Kilchoman style and complements the typical Islay peat with depth, spice and substance. This limited bottling is delivered in a high-quality gift box, which further emphasises its status as a coveted collector's item.

Colour: Dark mahogany, with copper reflections.

Nose: Dense sherry notes, dark fruit, spicy accents, accompanied by fine smoke.

Finish: Langs, dry and spicy, with peat smoke, sherry sweetness and a fine woody warmth.
